Cette lettre d’information qui devait vous arriver à chaque Solstice ne respecte pas la règle car nous avons décidé d’en anticiper la publication pour vous informer de diverses manifestations proches. En particulier le 24 Juin aura lieu le vernissage de l’exposition de photos d’Alain Daniélou et Raymond Burnier « Lumières de l’Inde » à Paris à la librairie Itinéraires 60, rue Saint-Honoré. Cette exposition qui tourne aussi dans diverses Alliances Françaises en Inde, restera exposée à Paris une grande partie de l’été avant de voyager dans d’autres librairies en province. Par ailleurs les expositions programmées par la Casa Asia de Barcelone commenceront le 8 Juillet jusqu’en septembre. Si vos pas vous mènent en Espagne n’hésitez pas à y passer. Enfin parmi les publications prévues l’une d’entre elles, commencée il y a près de 72 ans, me tient particulièrement à cœur et verra le jour dans les prochains mois à savoir les 18 poèmes de Rabindranath Tagore avec transcription, traduction en français et en anglais et adaptation pour voix et piano par Alain Daniélou. Autre bonne nouvelle la série des Cahiers du Mleccha a reçu un très bon accueil, une dizaine de titres sont prévus et l’éditeur américain souhaite les publier aussi en anglais.

In particular, June 24th next will see the opening of the exhibition of photos by Alain Daniélou and Raymond Burnier “Lumières de l’Inde” in Paris, at the Librairie Itinéraires 60, rue Saint honoré Paris 1 This exhibition, which will also be touring the various Alliances Françaises in India, will be in Paris for most of the summer, before moving on to other bookshops in the provinces. The exhibitions planned by Casa Asia of Barcelona open on July 8th and continue up to September. If your path leads to Spain this summer, this is a must. Lastly, one of our forthcoming publications, begun nearly 72 years ago and especially close to my heart, will finally see the light of day in the coming months : 8 poems by Rabindranath Tagore, transcribed, translated into French and English and adapted for voice and the piano by Alain Daniélou. Further good news is that the series The Mleccha’s Exercise Books (Les Cahiers du Mleccha) has been very well received. About ten volumes are foreseen and our American publisher also wishes to publish them in English.
