François Mauriac
Here is Alain Daniélou, author of Hindu Polytheism, brother of Père Jean Daniélou, and son of Madame Daniélou, who nearly founded an order and was quite possibly a saint. Only by looking very closely at this curiously "asiatized" face does one begin to notice a family resemblance. He writes about Hindu religion in a scholarly and highly objective way, without the slightest trace of fervor. A family is a wondrous thing ! Years ago I wrote The Frontenac Mystery . Who will write the mystery of the Daniélous ?
